Land to the west of Rolston Road (B1242), Hornsea
On behalf of East Yorkshire based, Foxglove Homes, we inform you of their intention to submit a full planning application to East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) for 101 dwellinghouses with associated access, parking, amenity space, landscaping, and infrastructure works on Land to the West of Rolston Road (B1242), Hornsea (“the Site”). See Proposed Site Layout Plan at the bottom of this webpage.
The Site is allocated in the East Riding Local Plan for housing development (ref. HOR-H) with an indicative capacity of 107 dwellings. It is within the development limits of Hornsea and surrounded by built development on three sides. Foxgloves Homes are a local SME housebuilder, with a track record of delivering a range of high quality homes that work with and embrace the character and appearance of the surrounding area.
In summary, the proposal will provide:
- A boost to housing supply and an enhanced choice of new houses and bungalows in the local market.
- Extensive landscaping on the Site’s western boundary to integrate the proposed development into the surrounding landscape.
- Landscaping throughout the development to create an attractive living environment.
- Three areas of Public Open Space, including one equipped Children’s Play Space.
- Essential infrastructure, including SUDS drainage, devised on a site-wide basis, alongside a detailed landscaping strategy to benefit ecology and biodiversity.
A consultation leaflet has been hand delivered to neighbouring residents informing of the proposals for this site.
