Land at Barnsley Road, Denby Dale

Newett Homes intend to submit a full planning application for proposed residential development at land at Barnsley Road, Denby Dale. 

The site extends to 2.5 hectares and currently comprises greenfield land. It is located in Denby Dale, a sustainable location with numerous train and bus links. 

The majority of the site is allocated for housing under reference HS136 in the Kirklees Local Plan, and the site to the west is currently under construction for 34 dwellings as part of the same allocation. Strata Homes recently gained consent on the site for the development of 30 dwellings under application 2023/62/91564/E, however Newett Homes have since gained an option to develop the site. This planning application will see the layout revised to deliver 42 dwellings, reflecting the product of Newett Homes whilst retaining the principles of the approved layout.
